The Therapist (Credentials)
James A. Quandt, LCSW, MSW is the therapist at Pathway Provider Services, P.C. His years at Pathway have equipped James to provide help along life's way, along with his three years of experience as a therapist with the Christian inpatient treatment program Rapha and seven years of experience providing counseling for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. He has worked with a wide range of clinical issues, from mood disorders and grieving to marriage and self-worth. He has taught classes and seminars on Happy Marriage, Family Issues, The Search for Significance book (by Robert S. McGee), Parenting, and Male Sexual Issues.
His education includes a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University, and he graduated with a Master's in Social Work from Jane Addams College of Social Work at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is licensed by the State of Illinois as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and is a member of the National Association of Christians in Social Work (NACSW), as well as the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). His broad base of training includes the areas of trauma response, sexual addiction, grief and loss, parenting, mood disorders, and relational attachments.
He is happily married. He and his wife have three children. They are active members in a church in Oak Park.
